Parents play a key role in supporting TPLL and the team to which their player is assigned. There are several roles, including Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Team Parent, and Scorekeeper/Gamechanger.

Team parent
The Team Parent is a volunteer role that makes a big difference in how much every player enjoys the season. Once teams are assigned, each Team Manager will reach out to parents to find a Team Parent. Key responsibilities include:
- Create and share a snack schedule for each game. Parents usually rotate providing a snack and drink for the whole team after each game, so each family can expect to do this at least twice per season
- Help the Team Manager find parents to keep score and pitch counts (Rookie Minors, Double A, Minors, Majors, 50/70, and Juniors)
- Help the coach share team and TPLL event information
- Help set a positive tone among team parents
- Coordinate the end-of-season team party and thank-you gifts for the Manager and coaches
